Pupils in Year 9 enjoyed an action packed day at Avon Tyrell Activity Centre in the New Forest. With many students starting Embley in Year 9, the purpose of the trip was to help the pupils get to know each other, to bond and make new friends.

Among the many challenges set during the day, raft-building proved to be a particular favourite.

Freya in Year 9 said: “The trip was exciting and filled with activities to push you and overcome your fears. The best part was the raft-building. I really enjoyed that and had so much fun ‘accidentally’ falling into the water!”

“The bonding trip was fun because of the breathtaking activities”, commented Max. “It was a good fun way to start Year 9.” he added.
