Beyond the classroom
whatever the weather, we always have fun adventures exploring the school’s grounds. Our 130 acres of parkland and woodland offer plenty of space for our children to spread their wings and develop a love of nature.
Children climb, explore and make mud pies. They grow vegetables, enjoy treasure hunts, go on minibeast safaris, climb trees, build dens, search for wildlife around the pond and explore everything our wonderful environment has to offer.
We take our phonics outside and go on letter and word hunts as well as looking for numbers around the grounds as part of our Mathematics lessons.
“Wellies are de rigeur over here and they have plenty of time out and about.”
