Visit Us and Open Events

Nursery

Our Nursery is open from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Fridays, for 48 weeks of the year. The self-contained Early Years Department sits within our 130 acres of grounds and woods which the children love to explore.

Behind a joyful atmosphere conceals a meticulous approach to the academic development and personal wellbeing of every child, with a careful balance of structured learning and child-initiated play. From the day a child joins us, we help prepare them for school, ensuring our Nursery children are Reception ready with reading, writing, phonics and Mathematics above age-related expectations. And with Reception class just next door, the transition to school couldn’t be smoother.

“Such a wonderful and enjoyable start to education. Our daughter has loved nursery and we have loved watching her grow and learn at Embley.”

Encouraging a passion for reading in Prep

One such place is our newly developed Woodland Library, which we’re putting the finishing touches to before it is officially opened.
