Senior School students will be experiencing a taste of Norwegian food every Thursday throughout November with a range of specially prepared traditional dishes freshly cooked by the school’s in-house catering team.

On the boarder’s breakfast menu this week there were a number of Nordic themed dishes which included Norse Viking Eggs and Hash, Norse strawberry soup with and mint cream and pears wrapped in bacon.

Alongside the exciting menus, students are encouraged to look at the five Norse themed Scanner Sheets where a QR code will take them to stories about the Vikings and Norwegian food.

Catering manager Fran Plascott commented: “As well as introducing the students to a range of new flavours and food adventures, it has been insightful for the catering team to learn the origins of many of the dishes where climate, landscape, Viking explorations and nomadic lifestyles have all been contributing factors.
