Working in partnership with Island Divers a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) 5 Star Instructor Development Centre (IDC), Embley has qualified one ‘Scuba Diver’ (Max), six ‘Open Water Divers’ (Josh, George, Catie, Jack, Paige and Michael) and one ‘Master Scuba Diver’ (Charlie). Having completed seven courses and over 50 dives, Charlie now joins the top 2% of PADI trained divers.
Following a challenging but enjoyable programme of knowledge development, as well as five pool dives and four open water dives at Andark Lake, Southampton, and Vobster Quay in Somerset, our students received their qualification cards and log books from our in-house instructor and the Deputy Head.
Embley diving instructor Mr Tim Leather said: “It is always a great privilege to introduce student divers to the underwater world. The team was a pleasure to work with. They successfully completed their open water dives under cold and sometimes challenging conditions but remained focussed and above all else enjoyed the experience. Congratulations and well done.”
Embley will be running another PADI Open Water Diver course in the Autumn term which is open to students in Year 7 and above.
