During this year’s Year 8 Ecology trip to Marwell, students were challenged to address global issues that affect the broader ecology of our planet such as carbon dioxide and plastics, asking “How do institutions like Marwell meet, engage with and complement these newly publicised, pressing issues?”

The impact and relevance of Marwell and the visit fuelled a conversation around what happens next to the Siberian tigers and a discussion about how rising sea levels will reduce terrestrial habitats and put humans into ever increasing conflict with the needs and lifecycles of some of these magnificent species.

After half term, students will submit their finished assignments in the form of a live presentation, a magazine article or a vlog.
