Last week in sensational weather conditions, the Senior School held its annual Sports Day in which our four houses: Austen, Chichester, Nightingale and Palmerston battled for victory in traditional track and field events.

The field events took place throughout the morning, with high jump proving the most popular spectator sport and during which the Sixth Form record was broken. The track events took place during the afternoon, with onlookers taking shade from the blistering sun under gazebos. Students competed in both sprint and middle distance events. Records tumbled and points were collected by all that took part, before the final standings were announced at the end of the day.

Chichester were delighted to take the crown, with a victory of only six points over Austen. Palmerston were third and Nightingale fourth.
