Coronavirus - Covid-19 Update

We have had an action packed first half term back to boarding and it has been wonderful to welcome new faces to the boarding community, both boarders and staff, as well as being reunited with our returning boarders too.

We continued our Manor House tradition of team-building on our first weekend together and this time made the most of our extensive grounds and the warm September weather by hosting the events on site; the boys’ and girls’ teams were highly competitive about winning each of the Helium Stick, Toxic Waste, Save the Ping Pong Ball and Tug of War challenges but the girls were the champions in the end!

We’ve been able to enjoy all sorts of creative and active trips and activities already, from soap & lip balm making and virtual race days through to crazy golf, indoor climbing and Zumba. There has been something for everyone, all interests and hobbies, plus new skills and experiences to explore.

After all the excitement and lively events, we have also ensured that there have been moments of calm and relaxation with our pamper and footie days, arts and crafts Wellbeing Wednesdays and even BBQs outdoors.

Ellen, our Boarding Prefect, has also made a proactive start to her role by introducing new online boarding groups, ‘get to know you’ activities, leading a fun themed Quiz and of course allocating those all-important kitchen rotas!

To round off the half term in style and ‘on trend’ given the world’s current circumstances, we thought what better way to celebrate our final weekend of boarding than with a zorbing activity on Headmaster’s Lawn, so that our boarding bubbles got to bounce around within actual bubbles!

We have already made so many memories together over the past few weeks, it has been a joy to be back together as a boarding family once again, and we cannot wait for what next half term has in store! #iloveboarding
